Cookie policy

Last updated: April 2026
This policy explains how The Centre & Edge uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and learning platform. We keep this simple — we only use what we need to run the site and improve your experience.

1. What are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and understand how people use the site so we can improve it.

2. Our Approach

We are an Australian business and operate in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. We aim to use the minimum cookies necessary to run our platform well. Australia does not require mandatory cookie consent banners in the same way as the EU. However, we believe in transparency — this policy tells you exactly what we use and why.

3. Types of Cookies Our Site Uses

Type Purpose Can you Opt out?
Essential Keep you logged in to the learning platform (LearnWorlds), maintain your session, and enable basic site functions. No — these are required for the site to work.
Functional Remember your preferences such as language and display settings. Yes, via your browser settings.
Analytics Understand how visitors use our site (e.g. which pages are visited, how long people spend on them). We use this to improve content and navigation. Yes — see section 5 below.
Third-party Tools we use to deliver our programme — including Zoom (webinars) and ActiveCampaign (email communications you've opted into). These tools may set their own cookies. Refer to each provider's privacy policy.

4. Third-party services

Our platform is hosted on LearnWorlds. By using our learning platform, you may also be subject to LearnWorlds' own cookie and privacy practices.

We also use:

  • Zoom — for live webinars and cohort sessions
  • ActiveCampaign — for email communication with enrolled participants
  • TidyCal — for booking coaching and consultation sessions
  • Squarespace — for our main website

Each of these providers has its own privacy and cookie policies, which we encourage you to review.

We do not use cookies to track you across other websites, build advertising profiles, or sell your data to third parties.

5. How to manage Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View cookies currently stored on your device
  • Block all or certain types of cookies
  • Delete cookies when you close your browser

Please note that blocking essential cookies will affect your ability to log in and use the learning platform.

For guidance on managing cookies in your specific browser, visit aboutcookies.org

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The most current version will always be available on this page, with the date noted at the top. For significant changes, we'll notify active participants by email.

If you have any questions about how we use cookies or handle your personal information, please get in touch. We're a small, transparent operation and happy to explain anything in plain language. Our contact email is info@centreandedge.com
